Haute Off The Press: Sarah Jessica Parker Soon to Unveil New Scent
Looks like Sarah Jessica Parker is enjoying the sweet smell of success, yet again. Besides the second installment of “Sex and the City: The Movie,” there will be a new scent inspired by the moxy of the league character, Carrie Bradshaw, with its ecclectic collage of prints on the bottle from a pretty paisley to an edgy zebra pattern. The fragrance, called simply SJP NYC (OMG!), will debut in February 2010, at Macy’s, just in time for the release of the film. Be sure and be on the look out — I am sure it will be a scentsation!

Haute Off the Press: Fashions Inspired by “Sex and the City”
I didn’t think anything besides buying a pair of Christian Louboutin ballerina flats for half off at a sample sale could make me this excited, until I found out that Hollywood stylist, Patricia Field, who wardrobed the sets of The Devil Wears Prada, Sex and the City: The Movie, as well as the series, was introducing a limited edition fashion collection inspired by the SATC movie.
The affordable collection that includes everything from dresses and coats to shoes and jewelry, is called Destination Style New York.
You can get a head-to-toe look, like the one above, which includes a little black dress in lace with a V-neckline and full skirt, a pearl and satin ribbon necklace, leopard print-lined pumps, and a Pavé crystal “flower” ring. If you prefer a stand alone piece, check out the skirted trench coat below.
Each day, new pieces to the collection will be revealed and you will have the opportunity to pre-order. Visit hsn.com/patriciafield for a look at the complete collection and to get in on other promotions.
What do you think of the Sex and the City inspired collection?

Haute Off The Press: ‘Sex and the City: The Movie’ on DVD
HBO has announced the pre-order of Sex and the City: The Movie DVD. Now you can add our favorite fashionistas to your movie collection.
But that’s not the only way to capture a few memories from the chic show:
Remember season 6 part 2 of SATC the TV series when Mr. Big went to Paris to win back Carrie. Homage was paid to that memorable storyline when we see them reunite on the big screen and Carrie is carrying this absolutely amazing Tim Woods Eiffel Tower clutch. The classy clutch would be fab as a collector’s piece or to jazz up a LBD (little black dress). The limited edition piece is signed by the designer.
For more even more behind-the-scenes scoop on the fashion forward film, pick up the Sex and the City book, a 176-page, colorfully illustrated book that is chock full of bonus features, an exclusive peak inside the shows designer fashion closet, and includes commentary from the cast, as well as costume stylist, Patricia Field. This is a must read fashionistas!

Back to the City

It’s been a while since I have posted, but I have been keeping my eye open for all chic. If you are like me (and millions of other fashionistas) you have been counting the days until Sex and the City hits the big screen (THIS FRIDAY).
Well, first I want to let you know I have a SATC (what they wear) story coming out Friday in Yes magazine, and as soon as the issue hits the stands I will post a link to it online. I even got some fab scoop from stylelist.com’s Kim Martin who got to see the New York screening of the film, as well as interview the leading ladies — Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon.
Stay tuned city divas for the latest on our favorite BFFs. Soon as I see the fashionable flick I will chime in on whether the film was sartorially chic or a shock to watch.
Chicly Yours,
The Chic Spy
